It was a different time.

High School
Mr. Berkfenfield's Photography Class
Mere assignments at first, yet I would never be so proud of my work.
I had been given the means, and inspiration ran unbridled.
Emotions found an outlet at last.
Every image rife with symbolism, every detail with purpose, and every color with meaning.
But, having lost my way, I barely passed this class.
Something Blue

The first assignment had been to capture something Blue, something Red, and something Green.
This was the first photograph I took, and it would be my favorite of the three.
It marked the beginning of themes that will recur throughout my gallery.
An emphasis on color, texture, and light.
These elements combined to reflect my thoughts and emotions, from the beginning of the year until the end.
Tower

The personal favorite.
A result of meticulous composition, attention to detail, and thoughtful refinement.
This photograph features the epitome of the themes mentioned prior; laden with dramatic contrast between its elements of color, texture, and light.
Something Red

Implied by the name, this was the Red.
An early experiment in isolating color.
Alarm

The first in a line of personal endeavors, undertaken on my own time outside of class.
A standout in both texture and color, highlighting the red rust and teal reflection.
Something Green

This would be the Green.
Taken by phone, with minimal alteration.
Dramatic composition, even if presenting an uninspired message.
